For Lorelai's 4th birthday we did a fancy little tea party! The girls dressed up and decorated hats with feathers and ribbon, they got their makeup done by grandma Susie and ate tea sandwiches, sipped pink lemonade and had cupcakes. It was the cutest vintage inspired tea party. We all sipped our lemonade out of a variety of vintage teacups and the girls had a special little tea set just for them! Guests who attended: Christi and Delani Postoian, Liz and Elyse Jergensen, Stevie McDonald, Gwen Lane, and Lorelai's grandmas Janette McDonald and Susie Sewell. I also blogged details about it here.

A Letter from Mom
Dear Lorelai,
Happy Fourth Birthday! This year I wanted to have a small party for
you. It was fun trying to come up with
ideas on what to do for your birthday because unlike in the past few years,
this time you really had an opinion on what you wanted to do for your
birthday. We decided on a formal tea
party at Grandma Susie’s house and invited your closest friends and
family. We invited Grandma Susie and Grandma
Janette, Auntie Stevie, Liz and Elyse Jergensen and Christi and Delani Postoian
along. We had also invited your friend
Ella and her mom Cindy Pendelton, but Ella got sick and couldn’t make it. For your birthday we told everyone to dress
up fancy and when each guest arrived they got a little purse with some jewelry in
it and a matching hat. We then decorated
the hats with feathers, ribbons and flowers and Grandma Susie did everyone’s
makeup. Then it was time for “tea.” We had pink lemonade with little peanut
butter and marshmallow cream sandwiches, chicken croissants, fruit and
cupcakes. The tea was served in a mini
glass tea set that was mine when I was young!
I was so impressed with how proper all the girls were! It was the perfect little tea party. Because you love all things girly, this party
suited you perfectly. You love to dress
up, dance, and play princess. You are
very serious when it comes to playing and want things done your way. Sometimes you get frustrated when not
everyone is following what you want them to do.
You are so fun and loving! You love
to play “pretend” and find fun in the simplest circumstances. You are a big helper to mommy and love your
sisters so much. I love seeing how much
you love to help with baby Charlotte and the love between you and Gwennie is
beautiful.
I love you so much!
Mom
