Happy 1st Birthday to baby Charlotte! Cousins, Nathan and Charlotte's birthdays are a few days apart, so we had a combined party for Nate who turned two and Charley who turned one. It was a winter and snowman theme! We hung snowflakes and had little snowman on the table. Happy Birthday to little baby choo choos!

A Letter for Charlotte
Dear Charley Bean,
You are my sweet baby girl! Happy 1 year birthday! We had a little party for you at Grandma Susie’s house to celebrate you turning one! When you were born our little family was living with Grandma and Grandpa Sewell’s house. We thought we would be there temporarily, but we ended up staying there through your one year birthday. It was a special time in my life because after you were born, I got to quit my job! I can’t tell you how happy this made me. When you were 3 months old (the time I would have gone back to work) we decided to stay at grandma’s house so mommy didn’t have to return to work. I couldn’t have imagined going back to work and leaving you. I was so attached to you! You were my little sidekick and always attached to me, literally! When you were born I bought a new baby carrier and wore you in my little pouch everywhere we went. I loved being close to you and as you continued to get older I more often put you in the baby carrier than the stroller.
You were the happiest baby. Always smiling and your eyes just sparkled when you smiled. It was like your smile made your entire face light up! When you turned one I wanted to have a little party to celebrate your birthday so we had a family dinner at grandma susie’s house. Since it was close to Christmas time we had snowflakes and snowmen! It was so cute and you loved your cupcake that Auntie Stevie made for you! It was a small party with Michael, Stevie and Nathan (we celebrated him turning two as well) and grandma and grandpa. Grandma and Grandpa McDonald were planning on coming but grandpa got sick last minute.
The first year of your life has been one of my greatest joys! Your smile makes me so happy and even at night, more often than naught you slept right next to me cuddled up all night long. Oh sweet baby Charlotte I love you more than I can even express. You bring so much joy and happiness and peace into our family. Your smile is a light and makes your entire face glow! And you have such a funny little personality full of giggles. I love you sweet pea and can’t wait to watch your little personality grow and develop!
