Thanksgiving 2014

November 2014

Lorelai had a Thanksgiving feast in Kindergarten as the cutest little pilgrim I ever saw!  I got to enjoy helping out at it!  A few days later our entire family got sick with the flu and we spent out entire Thanksgiving break on the couch!  My mom and Vern flew out to spend Thanksgiving with us so that was a treat to have visitors.

Lorelai with her Kinder teacher Mrs Debora Vida and her Kinder friends including Tori and Justin.

Sailor Fest!

October 2014

At the end of October the PTA put on an amazing fundraiser at Lorelai's school, Austin Parkway, called "Sailor Fest."  The mascot of the elementary school is the sailors and we attended this fun carnival complete with food trucks, face painting, bounce houses, games and dancing.  It was a great night for the entire family!

Giving Thanks

November 2013
Thanksgiving this year we spent at my dad and Janette's with our family.  The Carlsons, Swanns, McDonalds and our parents were all there (just missing 2 siblings, Kyle and Jamie, and their families).  Below are a couple pictures from Thanksgiving.

We love aunties and cousins!
Leiliani Swann, Katey Carlson holding Charlotte, Lorelai holding baby Lizzy Carlson and Stevie McDonald

Lorelai loved holding her cousin Lizzy

So grateful for these two littles!  Out and about at Victoria Gardens, grabbing some dinner at California Pizza Kitchen

So grateful for amazing friends like Christi Postoian.  We went on a girls getaway trip just her and
I and it was so fun!  Shopping, eating, talking and relaxing.  I love this girl!

This little Gwennie girl.  She is so full of life and fun.  I am grateful to be her mom

Party at the Jergs

November 2013
Our friends, the Jergensens, went on a week long cruise and while they were gone we house sat for them and their adorable kids Christian and Elyse.  It was a week long party with all these cuties!  Lots of adventures.  We love their kids so much, and the night we went home I really missed being able to tuck them into bed along with my kids.  It was a very memorable week for everyone!
driving to church is like a roller coaster ride!

Christian and Elyse Jergensen.  Love these two kids!

Lizzy bought the girls matching dresses.  They were so excited to wear them!  Lorelai, Elyse and Gwennie

Two peas in a pod

Three cheers for hot dogs, cheetos and root beer!  They were in heaven!

Just doing a little painting and artwork

Christian was up all night sick and so he stayed home from school the next day.  He was bummed
he had to miss his art class so since I taught the same class at a different school we did the art together.
This class was a study of "the scream" by Munch.

One of our adventures included their goldfish dying.  I really was hoping that little thing would stay alive until their parents got home!  So Ian threw "goldie the goldfish" a funeral before we flushed him down the toilet.  Luckily all the
kids thought this was hilarious and no one was too sad at the loss of goldie!

Liz and I are constantly buying matching things for these two girls (often not realizing it)
when I saw that Elyse had the same shirt in her closet as Lorelai did, I just had to dress
them alike.  Twinners!

We took these kids to the Rainforest Cafe.  Had a blast getting balloon animals and cruising Ontario Mills mall.

Halloween Day

October 2013
Halloween day!  We babysit Elyse for a few hours and it was so fun to have her over!  She actually had a Halloween party at preschool that day, but chose to come over to Lorelai's house instead.  We were very honored!  So we created our own Halloween party at home complete with dressing up, painting pumpkins, frosting pumpkin cookies, and dancing to Thriller!
making scary halloween faces!

Happy Birthday Ian

October 2013
Happy Birthday to our favorite daddy!  For Ian's birthday I took him to an LA Clipper's basketball game.  But the actual day of his birthday we celebrated with party hats, balloons (in his favorite color "green" of course) and breakfast as a family before he headed off to work.  After work we met up with Christi Postoian and her girls for dinner at one of Ian's favorite restaurants, El Torito. Randy had to work that night, so Ian partied with 7 lovely little ladies that night!
