New Year's Party 2011

DECEMBER 2011
This was one of my most favorite New Years!  The Demke's decided to host a party at their house that was family friendly so we could all celebrate with our littles.  I loved this idea!  The parents had a blast and so did the kids.  Susie made a New Year's Eve tree and decorated it with party hats & crowns, glasses, noisemakers and silver tinsel.  At midnight all the kids grabbed goodies off the tree and gathered in the foyer ready for the countdown....at midnight Christian Demke released balloons from the upstairs!  It was the perfect way to celebrate and get ready for an amazing 2012!

Christmas 2011

DECEMBER 2011
Traditionally ever since my parents were divorced I spent Christmas Eve with my dad and Christmas day with my mom.  We have kept that tradition for many many years, into adulthood, but once all the kids started having kids, my parents realized that Christmas Eve, Eve would be better.  So we celebrate Christmas Eve, Eve with my dad and Janette and siblings and nieces and nephews.  And then Christmas morning we went to my mom and Vern's house.  My favorite Christmas traditions include: Chinese food Christmas Eve with my dad and Janette, looking at Christmas lights at the Mission Inn in Riverside, Christmas breakfast with my mom including hot chocolate, egg soufflĂ©, baked cinnamon apples and cinnamon rolls and attending church where the primary children sing.  And I'm sure I'll be adding more traditions as the years go by!  Below are pictures from our marathon Christmas in 2011.

Photo Shoots 2011

DECEMBER 2011
This was a super busy day of photo shooting.  In the morning I helped out Joaquin as a sitting model while he had a video shoot using his new hair cutting tool called The Comb.  They cut my hair into a perfectly straight bob and then they dressed me and had me model my newly cut hair.  After the photo shoot was over Joaquin chopped my hair off and I drove straight home for another photo shoot.  This time shooting my house for my interior design website by Kamee June Photography.  Below are a few photos from both photo shoots.

My makeup was done by a professional makeup artist and was Amazing!

See my hair on the floor!

I seriously had no idea what I was doing, but my hair and makeup was amazing!

Thanksgiving 2011

 NOVEMBER 2011
For Thanksgiving we hosted it at our house in Riverside.  Christi Postoian and her daughters came for dinner since Randy was working. It was a fun Thanksgiving!  Ian and Christi cooked.  Lorelai loved watching the "chicken celebration" which was the Macy's thanksgiving day parade!

Stevie's Baby Shower

NOVEMBER 2011
My brother Mike McDonald and his wife Stevie were expecting their first baby due in January 2012.  She was pregnant with a baby boy!  I was so excited to throw her a baby shower, since I have only girls.  I did a nautical theme, because both Mike and Stevie love sailing and even worked at West Marine.  The theme was "Ahoy!  It's a boy!"  We did a breakfast brunch at my house in on Carnegie Ct in Riverside.  Complete with a egg soufflĂ©, yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit and assorted pastries.  Of course, no baby shower is complete without baby shower games!  So we played a memory game with assorted baby items, and guess what's in the diaper!  For the diaper game I melted different chocolate candy bars and melted them into diapers.  Each person then had to guess by sight and smell what the chocolate was.  So funny!  We all had a wonderful time showering Stevie with presents.
